Ladies..... Ever wanted to learn how to twerk? This workshop will be an introduction to twerking for beginners, to break a sweat in the most fun way possible and to learn basic twerk techniques you can show off at the club or in the bedroom!
No twerking experience required - this workshop is for all shapes and sizes, and small booties are welcome. It will teach you the basic twerk moves while helping you feel more confident with yourself, your body and your attitude. Leave your worries at the door: everyone has their own dancing style, and nothing like a good booty shake helps you forget about a bad day.
Taught by performer, blogger and pole dancer Blogger On Pole, this workshop is suited for complete beginners and for those looking to boost their confidence with tips and choreography.
Carolina connects with twerking to metal music, but she won't inflict that on you! Her dancing style complements her experiences and the connection with dance which brought her closer to her background and expression. Carolina learnt her technique recognising the origins of twerk in the African, Afro- American and Caribbean Diaspora. Her contemporary approach will add a flare to this workshop using pop / R&B bangers.

Carolina, 26, is a PhD student, visiting lecturer, blogger, writer and pole dancer performer. After a career U-turn that saw her go from PR to academic, Carolina moved to Australia for a MA in Criminology. Here, while trying to heal from an abusive relationship that inspired her novel Bad/Tender, she fell in love with pole dancing and never looked back. On her lifestyle and fitness blog, Blogger On Pole, she talks extensively about how dancing helped her love herself again and take control of her body. Carolina is now back in London permanently, studying cyber-harassment, disinformation and conspiracy theories through her PhD while also actively performing at events, competitions and showcases under the name Hades. She has taught chair and lap dance, twerk and spinning pole. Read what they say about her here.
