New to BDSM or want to learn more about your kinks? BDSM 101 is a beginner’s workshop which will give you an introduction to BDSM practises and lay the foundations for exploring your kinks and fetishes.

Forget everything you thought you learnt from Fifty Shades of Grey, as this workshop will help you truly understand BDSM at a deeper level and equip you with the skills to explore your kinks safely. Whether you want to explore your submissive side or your Dominant side, or you’ve not figured out where your kinks lie yet, we will be exploring many elements that encompass BDSM through discussion and exercises during this workshop.

Sarah will be covering a variety of topics and questions such as:

  • What is BDSM?
  • Common misconceptions about BDSM
  • Finding and establishing your role/identity i.e sub, Dom, Switch etc.
  • Consent and communication
  • Discovering limits and boundaries and how to push them safely
  • Understanding different BDSM relationship dynamics – sub training, collaring, contracts
  • Do you really need a safe word?
  • The importance of aftercare
  • What do you need in your BDSM starter kit?
  • Balancing your BDSM lifestyle

This will be a fun and light-hearted workshop with the opportunity to ask questions, learn about each other and complete exercises that will better help you understand your wants and needs as well as your partners, and aims to send you away with the knowledge and skills to begin to establish and explore your kinks at home.
